ABACUS

The portable CCTV solution from IES, the world leaders in digital video recording technology

Given the increasing demands placed on Law Enforcement Agencies, the Intelligence community, the military and commercial security companies “tomorrow’s technology today” is available now in the shape of ABACUS, a unique, multi applicational, fully portable digital video recording system for field deployment.

Why ABACUS?

  • Releases manpower from surveillance, observation and security duties.

  • Extends the scope (reach) of surveillance operations to locations where CCTV is absent.

  • Provides a continuous presence whether monitoring staff are present or not.

  • Reduces the impact of crime displacement.

  • Provides surge capability to react proactively and rapidly to new and emerging threats.

  • Enhances targeting of suspects who operate cross boundary (whether geographically or by jurisdiction).

  • Improves the deployment speed for intelligence and evidence gathering operations.

Where ABACUS?

  • Covert surveillance from observation posts.

  • Rural (field) surveillance (Surveillance of mortar/missile launch sites).

  • From vehicle surveillance.

  • Asset protection (aircraft on stands).

  • Site security, temporary locations or locations that do not have CCTV where visual security is required.

  • VIP protection. ABACUS can be deployed in hotels, conference centres, Embassies or other diplomatic missions, private residences or any location where perimeter or venue security is required.

  • ABACUS can also be deployed to guard prisoners/ or at threat witnesses in hospitals, courts, hotels or other venues.

  • Incident management. In the event of major incidents such as vehicle or train crashes ABACUS can be deployed to provide an evidential audit of emergency service activity.

  • Public order. In the event of marches, demonstrations, pickets ABACUS can be deployed to monitor protestor activity.

  • Search management. In the event of armed entry search or searches where evidential audit of police activity is necessary, ABACUS can provide such an audit.
