Smiths Heimann Biometrics GmbH (SHB) is proud to announce that its team is strengthened by a new member - Dr. Andreas Wolf.
Dr. Andreas Wolf studied Mathematics with minor subjects in Computer Science and Theoretical Physics at Humboldt University Berlin.
After receiving his diploma in Mathematics in 1992, he worked in several research projects on automated and interactive theorem proving and its applications in Berlin and Munich. Since 1999, he holds a Ph. D. in Computer Science from Munich University of Technology. In the following years, he worked with NorCom Information Technology AG, Munich, as Technical Product Manager for IT Security Products on Access Control products applying Role Based Access Control (RBAC) like models. Furthermore, he worked with VOICE.TRUST AG, Munich, as Technical Director. There, he was responsible for technology acquisition and development in the field of speech biometrics as well as for certifications of telephony based speaker recognition products. Together with the TÜV Informationstechnik GmbH, Essen, as the evaluation body, he initialized the first European Common Criteria certification of a biometric product.
Dr. Wolf now works with Smiths Heimann Biometrics GmbH, Jena, as Technology Manager Biometrics. Being a well known member of the biometrics community, he has contributed articles to several books and journals and published a number of conference papers.
