NEW MEASURES IN LAPTOP SECURITY
Colchester based FRAB Limited are experts in laptop security. Their recent launch of new security products has been received with enthusiasm by businesses and government agencies alike and promises to substantially cut the current trend of laptop crime.
The laptop is an easy target for criminals. Preventing theft from cars and offices has been a very real problem and, until recently, there were few measures that could be taken to reduce such thefts. Businesses have been especially vulnerable with loss of valuable data being of great concern.
The new products from FRAB Limited give owners and business users a range of options to protect their laptops. The new LapSafe® Laptop Lockdown SystemTM allows laptops to be securely fastened to desks or other immovable objects with a high tensile steel cable and security lock. A similar system provides protection for TFT screens – another easy picking for criminals.
Of course, laptops are frequently left in offices but even here they can be locked away in a fully welded security box that is fitted to a wall or the underside of a desk. The SoloTM units have been proving popular in schools and colleges where teachers and students use laptops as an essential part of everyday study.
The CompanionTM offers similar security for those on the move. This unit allows the laptop to be placed inside a metal box and attached to the vehicle with a security cable.
