In the skies, security has number one priority
On the ground, primion takes care of Time and Access Management.
Judy Garland made Somewhere over the rainbow into a classic, where we can all dream of permanently sunny skies, way above an alpine landscape of clouds. But the freedom to move through the skies comes at a price and only as the result of well-defined and strictly enforced rules, which apply to all those who use the airways.
It would be difficult to imagine an area of life today, which calls for such high levels of safety as air travel. As part of the Ministry of Transport and Construction, the German Aviation Authority (LBA) in Brunswick ensures flight coordination, long before the planes ever take off.
But internal security and seamless work processes play a significant role in the work of the authority. And with the choice of Visual Time and Visual Access, the LBA has underlined its commitment to safety and security. There really was only one contender in the public bid process, Primion Technology AG.
Some 400 employees of the LBA enjoy the benefits offered by primions software and hardware. As well as being an impressive looking location, the premises, which were specially designed and constructed to meet the LBA's exacting requirements, have the very latest in communication technology, first class staff amenities and generously proportioned grounds including extensive car parking.
With their proximity Legic smart cards, the staff can register their arrival and departure bookings at the DT 8 terminals at the building entrance points. The VT 8000 software installed on their PCs allows employees to check up on such information as holiday balances and overtime worked direct from their workplace. Corrections, caused for example by work carried out of site can very simply be entered through the VT 8000 Virtual terminal as well.
Access to restricted areas and to the building in general is controlled with the same card along with cashless vending in the staff restaurant. This multi-functional card fulfils the customer requirement for one-stop shopping and supports their wish and intention to increase employee empowerment.
The German Aviation Authority headquarters in Brunswick entrust primion with their Time Recording and Access Management.
