Nedap supplies Access Control System to ABN AMRO
In a phased programme, ABN AMRO is to equip its branches in Europe with the AEOS access control system from Nedap. Following meticulous analysis of the systems available on the market, the bank eventually opted for AEOS because of its scalability, optimum security and user-friendliness.
The great advantage of the Nedap AEOS system is that we can use one access control system throughout the whole of Europe. This makes it much easier and more economical to implement our security policy at our branches. Providing they have the authorisation, bank employees will be able to gain access to all our European branches using a single badge. Also, Nedaps AEOS system allows ABN AMRO to utilise to the full the investment it has put into a secure, reliable computer network over the years, says the ABN AMRO project manager.
Five years ago, Nedap NV started developing an entirely new access control system that incorporated the latest developments in ICT. Future-oriented and extremely flexible, AEOS architecture is based on open industrial communication and software standards while retaining maximum system security and integrity.
This, in combination with Nedaps Europe-wide organisation, gives Nedap unrivalled ability to realise genuine international security solutions, says Berend Jan Palamba, head of security management activities at Nedap NV. More and more internationally operating organisations are opting for a single access control system to which all their branches are connected, and we are in a unique position to profit from this trend.
Every day, Nedap security management systems are used by millions of people in banks, airports, hospitals, governmental buildings and industrial facilities in countries all over the world. Always the first to apply the latest technology, Nedap has built a solid reputation as a recognised leader in the field of high-end security systems.
