LEGIC®, the specialist for contactless smart card technology, has opened an office in France
Paris - LEGIC Identsystems Ltd, the world leading supplier of contactless smart card technology for personal identification applications, has opened a sales office in Paris to meet the needs of the French growing market.
Large growth in the demand for LEGIC's 13.56 MHz smart card technology in secure applications such as access control systems, contactless payments, time & attendance and other applications has warranted this strong commitment to the French market. LEGIC as a technology leader is well aware of the new imperatives driving the market and corporate expectations concerning employee identification.
To satisfy these challenges, LEGIC is already offering an all-in-one-card technology capable of handling up to 127 different applications. Companies are already increasingly driven to use a single multi-application contactless smart card - for practical and security reasons - which will not only allow the identification of employees for access control, but also other applications such as access to parking facilities, to offices, time & attendance management, access to IT systems, cashless payment at the company restaurant, vending machines and even company petrol stations. Also the roll-out of high security applications using biometrics is possible as the template can also be stored on the same card.
This technology will make yet another contribution to users convenience in their workday and at the same time improving corporate security significantly. LEGIC's new sales executive, Michel Chapot, Area Sales Manager West Europe, has extensive experience in the sales of secure systems and technology in the smart card sector, having previously held various appointments in the smart card business as sales manager for secure smart cards before joining LEGIC Identsystems Ltd. As a first ranking supplier of contactless smart card technology, LEGIC is positioned well to meeting French corporate contactless smart card requirements.
LEGIC will have a stand at the CARTES trade fair in Paris from 15th to 17th November 2005 (Hall 4, Stand N66).
