LEGIC® sets standards for e-ticketing and guest tickets at FSB leisure trade fair in Cologne

Zurich. LEGIC Identsystems AG, the world's leading manufacturer of contactless smart card technology for personal identification, will present the latest all-in-one-card products at the 2005 International Trade Fair for Leisure Areas, Sports and Pool Facilities (FSB) from 26 to 28 October in Cologne, Germany. Visit LEGIC in Hall 13.1, Stand E019/D018.

This exhibition is the largest specialized trade fair for the leisure industry in Germany. It serves as the central information and contact exchange for decision-makers from all leisure sectors. The latest equipment, services and products in the leisure sector are presented here.

These include fitness equipment, site management products like ticketing, lockers, indoor furnishings and sales vending machines. Europe's leading manufacturers, distributors and developers will present their new products and services here.

Operators of public pools, health and fitness clubs, government agencies, foundations, university and college facilities, vacation centers, restaurants, sites of cultural interest, sports clubs etc. are expected to attend the FSB.

LEGIC will show current, easy-to-use all-in-one-card products according to the plug-and-play principle that are extremely popular on the leisure market and are gladly used as part of the equipment with contactless technology at hot springs, hotels, in the tourism, sports and skiing sector, at water parks and golf courses.

With these products, member and guest cards, e-ticketing, door and locker locking systems, cashless payment, entry control and other service applications, like time acquisition, employee identification and parking, can be integrated on a single contactless smart card in a manner that's as technically ingenious as it is convenient.

The operators of leisure facilities and their visitors benefit in many ways from the contactless LEGIC smart card technology. On the one hand, operators can offer completely new services or improve existing ones, therefore increasing their profitability. On the other hand, costs can also be reduced. This is possible thanks to simpler, more efficient management and process optimization. The LEGIC technology platform offers an open, flexible and comprehensive concept for this purpose that reliably covers both present and future needs.

“The FSB is an important exhibition for us, as it offers an excellent opportunity to show buyers and operators of leisure facilities our latest products. The leisure market is growing fast in Europe, and highly developed technologies play an increasingly important role in that growth. We will present a number of LEGIC based products that are particularly well-suited for the leisure sector, and we expect particular interest in our all-in-one-card technology with which an extremely broad range of services can be combined on a single, secure multi-function card”, said Klaus U. Klosa, Managing Director of LEGIC Identsystems.
