This article shows the Firecom Headset and its supported products.
FireCom is a headphone/microphone set that has been proven in use by thousands of firefighters. The fireCom headset features a simple but revolutionary construction. The microphone and earphone form an integrated unit that can be quickly and easily slid into an adapter attached to the helmet. The entire system is made from high-quality, heat-resistant materials, and an ATEX-approved version is also available for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.

The microphone-earphone unit is fitted with a waterproof electret boom microphone and a small , high-performance earphone. It forms a rugged, lightweight, compact communications unit that is designed for optimum speech communication.
The helmet adapter consists of a clamp and an acoustic tube that holds the microphone-earphone unit. Various models of adapters and clamps are available for convenient fitting to various types of helmets used in firefighting, police, military, and industrial safety applications. The adapter can also hold a Mini-Maglite AA flashlight if the microphone-earphone unit is not used.

The robust push-to-talk button (PTT 8) can be operated reliably even under difficult working conditions, and it provides electrical compatibility with the radio unit. It is supplied with a protective ring that can be fitted as necessary to protect against unintentional actuation of the PTT button. The special luminescent button also contributes to increased safety. Diverse Helmet adapters
