Easyweig, The keypad that thinks it's a card reader
Easyweig is an all stainless steel cased keypad, which allows code only operation on card entry systems.
It is part of IET Group's range of products that work along side their Tower and Integra Access Systems and, as with all their products, is easy to use and install. The keypad is not a membrane keypad but real stainless steel keys for reliability and with tactile feel. It has a sealing membrane that is fitted between the buttons and the keyboard switches, for added protection and strength.
The case has also been developed to be vandal resistant and the circuit boards are coated for additional corrosion protection.
Connection to the access control system is via standard reader cable. At the door end additional card readers may be wired in parallel with the keypad; and because of its low power consumption and excellent line driving capability the Easyweig can be used up to 200 metres away.
The Easyweig, keypad can also emulate both magnetic stripe and Wiegand proximity formats and also allows for easy remote changing of visitor or employee codes.
Easyweig is the multi-format card reader emulator, which can also be used with other access systems as well.
