The DX-NT 400E – new digital long-play recorder with variable memory

With the DX-NT 400E Mitsubishi Electric are offering a dynamic und particularly flexible product in the segment of digital long play recorders. Thanks to numerous user-friendly features, various recording modes and its uncomplicated handling, the DX-NT 400E is a reliable and versatile partner in the area of security.

The flexibility of the internal memory is outstanding. The tray of the DX-NT 400E is removable and offers space for 2 replaceable internal hard discs, which can each amount to a maximum memory capacity of 250 GB. Thanks to this newly developed mechanism, the recorder is ready for action in no time. The standard recorder is delivered without storage medium and can therefore be optimally customized to meet the individual requirements of the surveillance area.

The digital recorder is equipped with 4 video inputs as well as an audio input. The recording speed of the incoming signal carries up to 25 pictures per second at a resolution of 720 x 288 pixels. Regarding the picture quality, the possibility exists to choose between 5 different levels of compression – the highest level consists of a horizontal resolution of over 450 lines.

The recording of the incoming signal is triggered by motion detection or alarm contact. Depending on the demands of the surveillance system, the sensor adjustments are freely configurable. This allows the 5 sensitivity levels for each camera to be individually adjusted. The length of the alarm recording can also be selected, in levels from 2 seconds up to 60 minutes. Meanwhile the integrated timer enables recording in daily and weekly intervals.

By means of the integrated multiplexer function all recorded pictures can be shown in different display variations: including a simultaneous split picture of all 4 channels.

When it comes to operation, Mitsubishi have designed the DX-NT 400E with maximum user-friendliness. Intelligent search functions allow the search and find of recorded sequences in the shortest of times. The serial “on board” network connection (RJ45) as well as newly developed software guarantee a comfortable handling. Both enable programming of all settings and the implementation of all surveillance functions over the local network connection. For remote management the recorder also offers an RS-232C interface and a wire remote control.

Many additional features of the DX-NT 400E ensure the safeguard of the recording. An automatic start-up for example is executed after a power failure. To avoid a loss of data, a mirror copy of all internal data can also be rendered. Furthermore, the integrated network connection permits the download of the saved data during recording.
