Digital Video Recorders Record Drug Production Process
Astra Zeneca has commissioned the installation of multiple Wavestore Digital Video Recorders to provide a permanent record of drug production as a key part of their quality control procedures.
Drug production quality control processes are greatly simplified with the multiple camera based system, replacing the Video Tape recording and multiplexer system with digital recordings of the key process stages overlaid with the unique camera identifier, date and time. The data from each production period is recorded onto CD and filed in accordance with the quality procedures.
Fibrehub Europe Ltd, who tendered the Wavestore solution in response to the customer requirement to automate the complex records management process, completed the installation.
Multiple Wavestore servers were installed and networked using the clients LAN/WAN and to provide numerous client connections for remote monitoring and management from Windows PCs. The remote monitoring facility enables authorised users to view both current or archive video data recorded as part of the process management.
The specific installation consists of multiple Wavestore DVR’s supporting in excess of eighty cameras positioned at strategic locations throughout the production process.
