The tamper-evident sealing method of the AMERSAFE security bag ensures that opening the bag without leaving evidence is impossible. The indicators hidden in the AMERSAFE security tape reveal whether someone has attempted to tamper with the bag, which is shown in visible changes in the adhesive tape or in the fact that the tape is damaged. In addition, strong adhesive that sticks immediately and extends to the edge of the bag, coupled with the perforated tape, prevents any opening of the bag without leaving a trace.
A serial number and bar code individualise each bag, which also makes it impossible to mix them up with each other. The numbering is repeated on slips detachable from the flap, which makes it easy to control the different stages in the safekeeping, transport and arrival of bags.
