EverFocus on SECURITY 2004 in Essen
SECURITY Essen took place from October 5-8, 2004. On the EverFocus stand, the show visitors found both innovative new products and established digital technology.
Next to the classic CCTV products such as cameras, multiplexers, quads and numerous system accessories, EverFocus concentrates on digital video recording systems. Within the future-oriented range, there are several DVR series customized to different market requirements. The digital video recorders EDSR-600 (6-channel), EDSR-900 (9-channel) and EDSR-1600 (16-channel) combine the advantages of digital video recording with the operation simplicity of analog systems. The constant quality up to DVD resolution allows a detailed recognition during image evaluation. The recorded images are archived on exchangeable harddisks. Alternatively, single images and videostreams can be exported and archived on a CompactFlash card and evaluated via free downloadable players - e.g. QuickTime - on a standard PC, or exported, archived and evaluated with PowerCon 3.1 software, PowerCon Pro software or PowerCon Station EPS 3000. An additional feature of the 16- and 9-channel DVRs are the 4 matrix monitor outputs offering free adjustable sequences for each monitor with individual dwell time for each camera.

The harddisk reader EPR 100 was especially developed for the flexible and individual data evaluation of harddisks out of EDSR series digital video recorders via local PC. It is connected to the PC via the USB port; the included software allows the easy installation. Data evaluation of single images, video streams and multiscreen sequences is possible through search criteria such as time/date, harddisk segment and event. For further evaluation, all data can be archived and managed locally.

Within the application software field, EverFocus introduced PowerMap. This application software provides a PC-based map function and supports IP cameras and cameras connected to an EDR and EDSR series digital video recorder. The cameras are placed and retrieved through buttons within the map. These buttons may be used for both the direct camera access and other functions, e.g. the start of external programmes. All cameras can be displayed either via the buttons or the navigation bar. If required, the multiscreen view can be displayed on different monitors. Different levels enable the fast and easy access of each camera.
PowerCam offers the configuration and control of ED 2250 and ED 2200 speed dome cameras and EQ 2700 and EQ 2200 motorzoom cameras via standard PC.

Furthermore, EQ 600 WDII was launched during SECURITY. The high resolution 1/3 colour camera delivers excellent images in sceneries with high contrast through the integrated Wide Dynamic processor. Each pixel is processed independently and corrected if necessary in order to receive a clear and detailed image. EQ 600 WDII offers a user-friendly on-screen display menu and intuitive control functions. Its the best choice for retail applications, building lobbies and car park entries as well as for all areas where contrasting light conditions are an issue.
