IDS - the iGuard®

IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH is based in the south-west of Germany. In the middle of an idyllic landscape surrounded by vineyards, products are being created for digital imaging and video surveillance.

With 45 employees and a distribution network in Europe, Asia and the USA, IDS supplies the international market.
The development of hardware and software and the production of the uEye industrial cameras is carried out on our own premises – a considerable advantage for our customers. This guarantees short routes and rapid reaction times.

The development of the video surveillance software iGuard® started in 1999 on the base of our Frame Grabber hardware. The idea was (and is) to provide customers with all necessary components in order to be able to create a high-performance, individual video recorder for safety systems from a standard Windows PC. iGuard® has grown to a modular system over the years. In its current version, iGuard® supports analogue cameras as well as IP cameras and offers interfaces that allow integration among other things in facility management systems (Active-X technology) or browser-based solutions (Web technology).
