Pentagon Glass Tech
Pentagon Glass Tech is the fast-expanding and exclusive worldwide supplier of SupaGlass, which offers protection from car-theft, car-jackers and protection from flying broken glass in a car accident.
SupaGlass is a very strong, optically-clear membrane professionally bonded to the inside of existing car windows. It is designed to increase resistance to breakage and to hold the glass firmly in place, whatever the cause of impact.
Pentagon won the Institute of Transport Managements Vehicle Safety Company of the Year Award in 2001 and it followed that first triumph by securing Fleet World magazines Security Award in 2002.
Such success for SupaGlass, alongside a Q Listing from Thatcham, the internationally recognised motor insurance repair research centre, makes it the only vehicle security film system of its type in the UK to attain the recognition in tandem with a prEN 12600 Class 1 anti-bomb blast and impact resistance certification.
Pentagon Glass Tech already fits SupaGlass to thousands of vehicles each year including police cars, Government vehicles, utility fleets such as Transco and vehicles driven by celebrities, high-profile politicians and other VIPs. It also provides other products, which include vehicle glass tints, to Land Rover, Citroën and Mercedes-Benz and a wide range of dealer groups.
In 2003, Pentagon has seen a successful flotation on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM), and the company recently announced it had signed a preferred supplier status agreement with Volkswagen AG that will see SupaGlass being offered to retail customers by more than 600 VW, Audi, Seat and Skoda outlets in the UK.

A time bomb is ticking away in UK boardrooms over the issue of corporate manslaughter. The Government has made it clear that it wants a 40% reduction in the number of people killed or seriously injured in road accidents by 2010. Up to a third of these are believed to be fleet drivers, in spite of the fact that they make up only one-tenth of all drivers.
