EverFocus extends DVR range
by Corinna de Jong

Next to the classic CCTV products such as cameras, multiplexers, quads and numerous system accessories, EverFocus concentrates on digital video recording systems. Within the future-oriented range, the existing DVR series has been extended with three further innovative digital video recorders.

The digital video recorders EDSR-400 (4-channel), EDSR-900 (9-channel) and EDSR-1600 (16-channel) combine the advantages of digital video recording with the operation simplicity of analog systems.

16-channel Digital Video Recorder EDSR-1600

The advantages of digital recording are obvious. The constant quality up to DVD resolution allows a detailed recognition during image evaluation. The recorded images are archived on exchangeable hard disks – all three devices are equipped with each two hard disk slots. “Hot swap” hard disks of different capacities enable individual recording time. Alternatively, single images and videostreams can be exported and archived on a CompactFlash card and evaluated via free downloadable players - e.g. QuickTime - on a standard PC, or exported, archived and evaluated with PowerCon 3.1 software, PowerCon Pro software or PowerCon Station EPS 3000.

Back cover with 4 Matrix Monitor outputs

An additional feature of the 16- and 9-channel DVRs is the 4 matrix monitor outputs offering free adjustable sequences for each monitor with individual dwell time for each camera.

Motion cameras can be displayed on selected monitors and override the sequence. Alarm inputs are able to switch selected cameras to selected monitors (free adjustable) with timeout or manual reset and are able to switch groups of selected cameras to selected monitors (free adjustable) with timeout or manual reset. Furthermore, single cameras may be assigned manually to each monitor.

Real-time live display, M-JPEG compression with configurable quality, built-in duplex multiplexer functions, network capability and the high screen resolution (720 x 576) allow the EDSR digital video recorders to be established within sophisticated security installations.

RS-485 keyboard KS KBJ

The EDSR series’ DVRs are operated via the front panel offering all easy-to-use functions of common time-lapse VCRs and multiplexers. The Jog&Shuttle function allows single image playback as well as up to 600-x playback and reverse playback without any image interferences. Optionally, the digital recorders can be controlled via the RS-232 interface, network, infrared remote control or via the RS-485 keyboards KS KBJ and KS KBK.
