NCSC CORPORATE MEMBERSHIPS NOW AVAILABLE
by David Jones

Annapolis, MD -- The National Cargo Security Council (NCSC) has created a Corporate Membership classification. For the first time in the group's 32-year history, corporations may now join NCSC, extending membership benefits to unlimited security staff. Affiliate and Individual memberships continue to be available.

"We undertook this change at our members' request to increase access to NCSC benefits for corporations," said NCSC Chairman David Jones. "At the National Cargo Security Council, we are committed to helping with this process, as it is in accord with our group's objectives," Jones explained.

The new category allows a corporate member to enter an unlimited number of its security personnel onto the NCSC membership rolls.

The National Cargo Security Council is a professional association of cargo transportation and security professionals from the entire spectrum of cargo security: air, truck, rail, maritime, and inter-modal. Committed to assuring the safe and secure movement of the nation's commerce, the Council's membership fosters voluntary government and industry efforts; serves as a clearinghouse to collect and distribute information to prevent cargo-related crime; provides platforms to address transportation security issues; and supports voluntary initiatives by government and the transportation industry to develop effective programs that combat cargo-related crime.
