RUNNER-UP AWARD
IFSEC 2004
STAND G100 Wavelet Technology received IFSECs New Exporter of the Year 2004 runner-up award at the IFSEC dinner held at The Hilton Metropole on Monday May 10th. Roger Isaacson, the founder of the company, started just 2 ½ years ago, received the award and was clearly delighted to have been short-listed. He and his team have worked relentlessly to develop the Wavestore range of Digital Video recorders. He said, We are proud to be recognised for delivering innovative and world leading hardware and software designs in a sector of the security industry dominated by well established suppliers. Having carefully considered and planned its strategy, Wavelet Technology determined to take the riskier course of growth by developing its export business in parallel with its UK activities. The results show exports consistently over 50% of revenues, indicating that it is possible to major in export and succeed. The seeds that have now been sown into many overseas markets are expected to bring significant growth in the next 2-3 years. There was international interest in the WAVESTORE from the start, primarily because it broke new ground in high quality digital video recording and management functionality, with the first order for five units delivered to South Africa. The major thrust of the export initiative has been to actively encourage local assembly of its performance products. In-depth training and support has been provided to enable the overseas partners to commence the local manufacture and sales efforts. This approach has yielded centres of excellence for WAVESTORE around the world. Enterprise level systems such as WAVESTORE need to coalesce with complementary products and systems and thats what is being demonstrated on the companys stand (G100 - Hall 6) at IFSEC this year. Wavestores range of features and high technical specification continues to impress discerning customers and consultants and has been quoted by many as the best enterprise level DVARM (Digital Video & Audio Recording & Management System) evaluated. As you would expect from a product addressing the export market multiple language scripting is supported simultaneously, and includes English, German, French, Hungarian, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Turkish. The winners of the award was Network Video Technologies, a Californian company that was founded in 1990 that develops and markets a line of video transceivers and hub systems for the transport of quality full-motion, colour video and audio over ordinary, unshielded telephone wire.
