The Securiplan Group's annual turnover increased from £65 million to £80 million in 2004, of which £77 million was from manned guarding services, thanks to strong organic growth in all its divisions. Many established Securiplan Corporate and Retail clients have increased the number of sites on which our officers are deployed, while significant new business wins have also boosted the scale of operations in the Retail and Shopping Centres divisions. Securiplan's Systems experts have been busy during 2004, installing state-of-the-art surveillance, access control and physical security equipment on client sites.

In 2004 Securiplan was highly commended for outstanding training practice in the Security Industry Training Organisation awards, and Securiplan officers won two prestigious BSIA Security Officer Awards at national and regional level. Securiplan Retail was the first company to receive the National Security Inspectorate Gold Standard accreditation for the supply of retail security services, and has introduced a consultancy service in loss prevention.

Looking ahead, Securiplan plc Chief Executive Phillip Ullmann says: "Business prospects look brighter than ever before and I feel confident that we will breach the £100m annual turnover ceiling by the end of 2005. This year, we plan to move to new premises to accommodate the enlarged Securiplan Group. Our strategy is to grow our security business organically whilst expanding into new markets as a quality provider of bundled manpower services, including cleaning, catering, mechanical and electrical maintenance services."
