MEDIO Intelligent Network Platform – Smart Alternative

Appropriate design strictly based on ITU-T, ETSI and further standards ensures the MEDIO systems are reliable, flexible and scalable. These key factors positioned STROM telecom products on the world class standard.

We have already proved we can develop and deploy customized services of Intelligent Networks (IN) fast and on time and thus to make sure that our customers to become vanguards of telco evolution what allows them to compete successfully in the overwhelmed and matured telecommunication market.

Our solution of IN services

STROM telecom’s solution comply with the IN concept based on an architecture where service functions are distributed over specialized network nodes. Concentrating the most important functions at control nodes enables software upgrades without affecting the whole network. As a result, new services are provided without interruption of network operation. The creation of the MEDIO solution is our contribution to the Intelligent Network.

The MEDIO applications provide standard switching functions (SSP), in-band-information oriented functions (IP), control functions (SCP) and database functions (SDP) for required IN services. Apart from its basic functions, MEDIO platform provides interfaces for service maintenance (SMP) and introduction of new services (SCEP) platforms. As our solution is based on INAP it can be easily integrated with third party SSP.

This generic group can be easily extended according to current customer requirements and evolution of market conditions. Needless to say, we act under stringent time constraints and with maximum flexibility.

We have moved forward to integrate our IN services with mobile networks (GSM). We have launched the project AGNES to ensure seamless integration of IN services with next generation networks (NGN).

STROM telecom successfully delivered services to many providers of telecommunication services. For example:

  • We supplied a German alternative operator with customized services based on Free Phone and Account Card Calling.
  • We are in the middle of integration of Televoting, Primary Rate Access, Prepaid and Account Card Calling services for a large carrier in Russia.
  • In Czech Republic we deployed for an alternative operator Prepaid and Account Card Calling services.
